Why Foundry Kit Exists

Founders Shouldn't Spend Their First Two Months on Plumbing

Too many products stall before they start, buried under auth, billing, admin panels, and infrastructure that has nothing to do with the actual idea. Foundry Kit exists so you can skip all of that and build what matters from day one.

Why I Built Foundry Kit

Every time I started a new product, I found myself rebuilding the same infrastructure: authentication, billing, admin panels, background jobs, audit trails, search. The first two months were never about the product. They were about the plumbing.

Then founders started reaching out for help. Many had vibe-coded their way to massive apps with hundreds of database tables, tangled dependencies, and no test coverage. They'd moved fast but built on sand, and now they were stuck: too fragile to ship, too complex to untangle.

That's when it clicked. The problem wasn't speed. Founders should absolutely hit the ground running fast. The problem was starting without a real foundation. After my fourth time rebuilding the same infrastructure and my fourth time helping a founder dig out from technical debt, I realized the foundation itself was the product.

At the same time, AI was changing what's possible. I'd been building products with RAG pipelines, AI agents and tools, and usage tracking for token-based billing. Every founder I talked to wanted these capabilities, but wiring them up from scratch on top of a fragile codebase was a non-starter.

So I built Foundry Kit. Not a boilerplate with TODO comments and placeholder logic, but a genuinely production-grade system with AI baked in from day one, the kind you'd be comfortable putting in front of paying customers immediately. It's the same architecture I used to serve millions of users, process real financial transactions, and pass enterprise security reviews. Now it's the starting point for every product I help founders build.

Built by a Founder

Adrian Teh

Exited founder, technical product leader, and full-stack Ruby on Rails engineer. I co-founded a PropTech SaaS platform used by 2M+ households across North America before it was acquired. Since then, I've launched an M&A marketplace that facilitated $15M+ in acquisitions, built embedded invoice financing APIs for B2B platforms, and shipped AI-powered products with generative AI and RAG pipelines.

Most recently, I built a marketplace platform connecting leading e-commerce brands with SaaS vendors to facilitate partnerships and successful deals, managing the entire lifecycle from vendor-brand matching to introduction requests and deal tracking.

Foundry Kit is everything I've learned about building products that scale, distilled into a foundation I now use to help other founders ship faster.
